For a long time, dairy technologists puzzled over how to separate noble proteins from whey from other substances partially dissolved (emulsified) in the liquid phase of sweetened milk, ie from precipitated (denatured) proteins, cholesterol and milk. The separation method that solved this problem is called microfiltration, and the technological process is known as cross-flow microfiltration (CFM). It uses special ceramic filters that allow only whey protein to pass through, while other unwanted components are trapped inside the filter.

With CFM technology, the noble protein does not come into contact with any aggressive chemicals (hydrochloric acid, caustic soda), which are used in the production of protein isolates using the so-called ion exchange separation. The CFM method is therefore a purely physical method, in which there are no chemical changes to the whey protein. We get it at the end of the entire technological process in a completely natural and pure form. This is the main reason why all our patented CFM products have a high biological value.
